Local Attractions

Pensagillas Park is ideally situated for local attractions and located between the established town of St Austell and traditional Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey.

Mevagissey (10 min drive from Pensagillas Park)

Mevagissey is a traditional Cornish fishing village, where you can wander the narrow alleyways,
browse gift shops and art galleries, try the local ale in one of the many pubs, have a fine dinner in one of the excellent restaurants and finally walk around the moon-lit harbour.

Lost gardens of Heligan (5min drive from Pensagillas Park)

Unveiled in 1992 from under decades of overgrowth, the Lost Gardens were restored on a shoestring budget and hailed by The Times as “…the garden restoration of the century”. Today the mysterious gardens and estate offer over 200 acres for exploration.

Charlestown (10/15 min drive from Pensagillas Park)

Charlestown, an amazingly pristine, unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port. It was constructed between 1791 and 1801. It is a very popular location for film and television such as Poldark, Hornblower, Mansfield Park and many more.

Away from busy roads and towns we are centrally located within short distance drive to many other popular Cornish towns and beaches; Newquay (20/ 30 min drive), Truro (20 min drive) Falmouth (30 min drive), Fowe (30 min drive), Looe (30/40 min drive).
